What's Your Word for 2020?

December 20th, 2019 at 08:48 pm

Mine is transformation!

We are in transition, so it is underway. We will hoepfully be in a townhome owned outright by the spring.

We will hopefully have our rental property bringing in passive income again

We will hopefully have a nice family vacation, two smaller or one larger.

We will have three in college in the fall (a freshman, junior, and senior)!

We will hopefully have a better balance of work and leisure.

Currently, our personal lives are recovering from havoc: my inlaws have had major health issues and SO is an only child - compound that with the fact that they insisted on living 50 min away when they relocated here; SO is still in a high stress situation and as his job has become more secure, the stress with the position has taken its toll - he's gained weight and complains of body issues that he's not doing anything about; a very dear friend of mine died - not unexpected, but he was a big part of our lives - including daughter who has started acting; I returned to work as a substitute teacher and have accepted longer-term placements; youngest is in high school now and very active in sports.

I am very ready for 2020 and excited to see where my fellow SA blogges are going and what's your wordZ?

I think my word would be: Discovery. I will be retiring from full time work in June 2020 and I look forward to discovering new opportunities through volunteering and/or part time work. It is important to me to contribute to society and be productive in some way, but I want to take my time, try some things out, and find the best fit. Discovery!

OMG, when I was thinking about a word yesterday, transformation came to mind as well. I haven't decided entirely yet however. Just fun to think that you and BAWW are both using transformation. Merry Christmas!!

My word is Recovery. I survived my gap year and then immediately got slammed by expenses brought about by auto accidents. I was planning on doing so many things, but now I won't until my "new" car is paid off. My savings have suffered and I want to build them back up.

I think mine is Creativity. I want to write more, play instruments more, and spend more time learning French.

Mine is going to be PEACE. I want peace in my life, peace of mind and yes, peace on earth.

All good words. I think and hope mine will be organization. Just when I get something organized, something else gets unorganized.
